The meeting had in attendance the 21 local government Cordinators of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), including the state executive members cum National reps.
Speaking during the launch, Amb. Obi reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that Anambra youths remain digitally equipped, productive, and forward-looking.
He emphasized that empowering the youth remains a core promise of his administration and assured them that the program would open new doors for economic growth and innovation among young people in the state.
Amb. Obi further explained that the initiative aligns strongly with Governor Soludo’s broader agenda for youth development.
He commended the governor for prioritizing young people across various sectors and pledged the full support of the Youth Council to the administration.
According to him, the Council will continue to complement government efforts in building a future driven by skilled, self-reliant youths.
The Operation Youth Economy program is designed not only to empower young people with digital and entrepreneurial skills but also to prepare them to compete globally.
Amb. Obi noted that the world is moving rapidly, and Anambra youths must be equipped to meet emerging challenges, create opportunities, and sustain livelihoods through self-employment.
A major highlight of the meeting was the election of a new Coordinator of all Coordinators (C OF C'S) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter.
The process saw Comr. Uchenna Ejeri , Orumba South local government Coordinator emerge as the new leader, a development that was received with applause and optimism by members present.
His emergence is expected to strengthen coordination and enhance the overall impact of youth-centered programs across the state.
