Tomorrow is a temporal construct of the relative future; literally of the day after the current day(today), or figuratively of future periods or times. Tomorrow is important in time perception because it is the first direction the arrow of time takes human on Earth. Today is the tomorrow you talked about yesterday. Therefore, today makes tomorrow. Tomorrow connotes Forward Movement, Advancement and Hope for Greater things to come. This is the concept behind the mantra of Peter "The Rock" Mbah as he proclaims TOMORROW IS HERE! This directly implies that forwardness, continuity and consolidation of the gains made by his soon to be predecessor (Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the Executive Governor of Enugu State) is here. Deep thinking, strong mantra from Peter "The Rock" Mbah, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 Governorship Candidate; with the Vision: *"to make Enugu one of the top 3 States in Nigeria in terms of Gross Domestic Product(GDP)- with a proposed growth from $4.4 Billion to $30Billion and achieve a zero percent rate in the poverty head count index."* In addition, his Mission is *"to deliver quality, people focused governance by making Enugu the preferred destination for investment, business, tourism and living ".* These are salient and bodacious Vision and Mission Statements coming from the man whose name- Peter means Rock. Rock as a personality, refers to someone who is strong, stable and dependable.

Let's meet Barr. (Dr.) Peter " The Rock" Ndubuisi Mbah; the Peoples Democratic Party 2023 Governorship Candidate with the Mantra- TOMORROW IS HERE! Peter Mbah who was born in March 1972 (50years old), hails from Owoh, in Nkanu East L.G.A, Enugu State. He is a Lawyer, Financial Analyst and the Chairman/CEO, Pinnacle Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited. Mbah obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Honours) Second Class Upper from the University of East London in the United Kingdom. Thereafter, he attended the Nigerian Law School and was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar. In 2004, he bagged the degree of Masters of Laws(LL.M) in Maritime Laws from the Lagos State University. Peter Mbah served as Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Finance to then Governor Chimaroke Nnamani where he garnered a wealth of firsthand experience in the area of Public Financial Management and Project Finance amongst others. He is also a fellow of Certified Institute of Public Administration and Management(CIPM).

Peter "The Rock" Mbah has displayed Capacity, Character, Competence and Experience as a former Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Finance who ventured into private sector building Pinnacle Oil from the scratch to a major player in the downstream oil sector. His consistent underpinning factor has been his passion for Excellence, Integrity, Corporate Governance and a perpetual search for knowledge. Consequently, this over two decades of Experience, Great Exploits and Breakthroughs in public office and private sector coupled with his Vision and Mission for Enugu has placed Peter "The Rock" Mbah at the front burner ahead of other Governorship Candidates in Enugu State. Where service is topmost in priority, the leader exhibits selflessness thereby promoting values, creating positive impacts and the much needed environment for Unity, Peace, Progress/Prosperity and massive development across board as well as enthroning Equity, Fairness and Justice. In this vein, Service is juxtaposed with Character, Competence, Credibility, Experience and Track-record/antecedents of the leader.

The Legislature is the direct voice of the people; as the Legislators are direct representatives of the people. Representation is a very sensitive concept as it involves the constant alignment of the Legislator with the position of the people. It entails listening to the people as you pay attention to details; Making Laws in the interest of the people, Oversight Functions as well as attracting government presence in forms of schemes and projects for the benefits of the people.

It's a no-brainer that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi ticks the boxes and fits the bill as he submits himself to serve as the Senator representing Enugu North Senatorial District. A man with strong character- widely known as "a Man of Peace"; a reference point of humility laced with compassion, kindness and magnanimity, who from the start of his political career operates an open door policy: listening and carrying everyone along.

Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is well trained and exposed. He obtained a B.Sc. degree in Finance and M.Sc. degree in Marketing (Public Relations) from the nation's foremost university(UNN). He also holds MBA degree in Finance and another MBA degree in Accountancy from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT). Capacity, Competence and Experience is key, as Governor Ugwuanyi has been displaying through his career as an insurance broker which entails skillful negotiations, smooth talks and quality delivery as well as his Political career. Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi served in the National Assembly (House of Representatives, 2003 to 2015) representing Udenu/Igbo-eze North federal constituency. Between 2003 and 2007, he served as the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Pension during which era the revolutionary Pension 2004 Acts was enacted. In 2007, he served as the Chairman, House Committee on Marine Transport that birthed new legislations aimed at equipping the marine transport sector in line with international best practices. Due to his diligence and performance, he was appointed to serve as Chairman, House Committee on Niger Delta where through his skillful negotiation tactics and smooth talks brought calmness, peace and increased productivity in oil exploration in the Niger Delta. Going by the words that made the rounds, he was nicknamed "Chairmo of Chairmos" by his colleagues and also the belligerent parties in the Niger Delta. It's a known fact that plenaries in all Houses of Assembly worldwide is a formality of the intense negotiations and smart moves/lobbying made behind closed doors. There comes in Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi- an intelligent and smart negotiator who is also a smooth talker to deliver the goods, not only for the people of Enugu North Senatorial District but also for the society at large.

Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's exemplary leadership qualities, overwhelming performance and results coupled with his humanitarian activities, endeared him to Ndi Enugu. And the people came out in their droves to support and elect him Governor in 2015. Northern youths withdraw Igbo quit notice

A group of 14 Northern youth organisations under the auspices of the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) yesterday in Abuja conditionally withdrew their ‘Igbo Quit notice.’

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (ACYF) on June 7 issued October 1 ultimatum for all Igbo in the 19 northern states to vacate the region.

But the youths at a press conference attended by Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State, a former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and later of Environment Alhaji Sani Zangon Daura, and a former Governor of Kano Senator Kabiru Gaya among other leaders, said they were withdrawing their declaration in the interest of peace, national development and the intervention of leaders across the country.

The meeting was equally attended by Igbo leaders especially those living in the North, led by the President of the Igbo Delegate Association (IDA) in 19 northern states and the FCT, Chief Chi Nworgu and a popular Nollywood actor Keneth Okonkwo, among others. Spokesman of the coalition Abdul-Azeez Suleiman who read the withdrawal notice, said the initial declaration was due to the belligerence of the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

He said the abusive and confrontational ideology of IPOB left them with no option than to come together and form the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) to begin charting a new future for Northern Nigeria.

He said that the decision was also due to “the silent endorsement of IPOB by virtually all the Igbo leaders nationwide with their open embrace of Kanu and his  brand of agitation”. 

He said their rethinking was due to intense persuasive pressure from concerned national, political, traditional, religious and cultural leaders, prominent among them being members of the Northern Governors Forum under its Chairman, Governor Kashim Shettima, northern traditional rulers and the Directorate of State Security (DSS).

“We also had several fruitful interactions with various concerned individuals and groups. Most significant was our correspondence with the then Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and most recently our interface with the Presidency through the Special Assistant to the President on Political Matters,” he said.

Speaking on their terms for the effectiveness of the withdrawal, Suleiman said the Federal Government should support the Igbo to hold a referendum to decide their future either as Nigerians or as Biafrans because “the the population of the Igbo that supports Biafra seems larger than the few who appear to be against it.”

He said his group was insisting on immediate arrest of Nnamdi Kanu and for his appropriate prosecution while calling on the Nigerian Senate to demand that all Senators who stood surety for him in court rescind their bond.”

Governor Kashim Shettima who spoke afterwards, overruled the youths, saying those supporting the violent agitation of IPOB were the vocal few and that majority of Igbo believed in one united Nigeria.

He said that the governors of the 19 northern states intervened to ensure the withdrawal of the quit notice to avoid crisis, that the IPOB leader was acting out of immaturity.

when I see former  government officials being paraded for fraud especially the street politicians amongst them, I wonder why they didn't work suicidally for the reemergence of Gej. 

I kept wondering why they had to even pocket election funds since their freedom depended on it, then, the answer struck me, they never believed Gej  can loose the election, they felt that he would have refused to go if at all.....

Just like the biblical Judas Iscariot  who sold his master Jesus Christ, thinking He(his master) would disappear  and over power them, to his chagrin Jesus willingly followed his tormentors and was sacrificed.

Personally, I feel same thing just played out, these traitors felt Gej  would stay put which would have caused national crisis thereby promoting a dire need for them and their continuous siphoning of public fund, but Gej  just like our Saviour quietly  handed over power and left the traitors to follow their ancestral path of Judas Iscariot.

Judas took to suicide, soon these people may take different path but the end is same while the Chronicles of Gej  keeps towering.

May Heaven grant us discerning spirit(that we may know wrong from right) and the courage to do the right.
